Quick answer: Pick a private tour (from €549 per group of up to 6 guests), then send the Book this tour form, the contact form or a WhatsApp message with your date and group size. Most bookings are confirmed the same day, pick-up is at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona, and you can cancel or move the date free of charge up to 96 hours before the start.
Step 1: Which private tour fits your day?
Every private tour here follows the same model. You pay one price for a group of up to 6 guests, the vehicle and guide are reserved for your party alone, and you are picked up and dropped off at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona. What changes from tour to tour is the length of the day and where it goes.
Start with the private Barcelona tours if you want the city itself, or the private day trips if you want to get out to Montserrat, Girona, the Costa Brava or Tarragona. City tours start at €549 per group and day trips at €825 per group. Three examples show the range:
- The Essence of Barcelona: Discover its Icons on an Exclusive Tour is €549 per group for 5 hours. It covers Montjuïc and the Olympic Games sites, the waterfront, the Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia and Hospital de Sant Pau in the Eixample. Monument entrance tickets are not included. Shared by 6 guests, it comes to €91.50 each.
- The private Barcelona in One Day: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and Old Town is €879 per group for 8 hours. It includes a skip-the-line Park Güell ticket and a Sagrada Família ticket (subject to availability), plus a panoramic Montjuïc stop and an Old Town walking tour. That is €219.75 each for 4 guests, or €146.50 each for 6.
- Medieval Girona and Dali Museum in Figueres is €825 per group for 10 hours. You get a guided walk through Girona's medieval old town, a stop in The Call (the Jewish Quarter) and your entrance ticket to the Dalí Theatre-Museum. For 6 guests that is €137.50 each.
A simple way to choose: if you have one full day for the city and want to go inside Park Güell and the Sagrada Família, the private One Day tour covers the most. If you are happy to see the landmarks from the outside in half a day, the Essence tour costs less, though its route does not include Park Güell or the Sagrada Família. If you have already walked the city, the day trips take you further.
How far ahead should you book?
A few days of notice is usually enough. Popular dates in spring and early autumn fill further out, so if one date really matters to you, such as your only free day in the city or a birthday, book at least a week ahead.
The Sagrada Família is the one part of the plan nobody can lock in. Tickets are subject to official availability for your date and time, and they can sell out in busy periods. If that happens on a tour that includes them, the tour still goes ahead with a guided visit of the Sagrada Família from the outside, and €26 per person is refunded for the unavailable entrance ticket. Entry is never guaranteed, so plan your day knowing the exterior visit is the fallback.
Step 2: What should your booking message include?
You have three ways to ask for a date:
- the Book this tour form on the tour page you chose
- the form on the contact page
- a WhatsApp message to +34 632 93 79 41 (open WhatsApp)
Whichever you use, a complete first message saves a round of questions. Include:
- the tour name, exactly as it appears on the tour page
- your date, and a second choice if you have one
- the number of guests (up to 6)
- the name and address of your hotel or apartment in Barcelona
- the best way to reach you, by email or WhatsApp
If your group wants a slower pace, a longer stop at Park Güell or less time at a viewpoint, say so now. On a private tour the pacing and the time at each stop can flex, though the core route stays close to what the tour page lists. Send those requests before you book, not on the morning of the tour.
Steps 3 and 4: When is it confirmed, and when is pick-up?
Most bookings are confirmed the same day, by email or WhatsApp. Keep that confirmation: it is the thread you reply to later if you need to change the date or cancel.
Your hotel or apartment address is confirmed at booking, and the exact pick-up time is agreed with you before the day. All 12 private tours include pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona, in a vehicle reserved for your group. There is no meeting point to find and no other passengers to collect on the way.
Here is the full sequence at a glance:
| When | What happens | Who does it |
|---|---|---|
| Before you book | Pick a tour: city tours from €549, day trips from €825 per group | You |
| A few days to a week ahead | Send the form or WhatsApp with date, group size and address | You |
| Usually the same day | Booking confirmed by email or WhatsApp | Us |
| Before the tour day | Exact pick-up time agreed | You and us |
| Up to 96 hours before the start | Free cancellation or free date change | You ask, we confirm |
| If Sagrada tickets sell out | Exterior guided visit, €26 per person refunded | Us |
| Tour day | Pick-up at your hotel or apartment, vehicle and guide for your group only | Us |
| After a cancellation | Refund to your original payment method within a few business days | Us |
Step 5: What happens on the day, and what is not included?
The vehicle and guide are yours for the whole tour. Nobody else joins, so the day moves at your group's speed. If someone needs a break, or the group wants ten more minutes at the Montjuïc viewpoint, the guide can adjust the time at each stop while the core route stays close to the tour page.
If you searched for a private driver and guide in Barcelona, this is what you get. On Medieval Girona and Dali Museum in Figueres, for example, you have a private vehicle and driver for the full day plus a professional private guide. On some of the Costa Brava day trips, one professional driver-guide does both jobs.
Budget separately for a few things:
- Food and drinks: not included on any private tour.
- Gratuities: optional, and entirely up to you.
- Entrance tickets on the Essence tour: The Essence of Barcelona also excludes monument entrance tickets and private expenses.
Everything a tour page lists as included is already in the group price. On the private One Day tour, for example, that means the skip-the-line Park Güell ticket, the Sagrada Família ticket (subject to availability) and the exterior guided visit of the Sagrada Família.
Step 6: How do free cancellation and date changes work?
Every tour can be cancelled or moved to another date free of charge if you tell us at least 96 hours before the start time. If your tour starts at 9:00 on a Saturday, that window closes at 9:00 on the Tuesday before.
To cancel or change, reply to your confirmation email or send a WhatsApp message with your name and tour date. Changes are usually confirmed the same day. A refund goes back to your original payment method within a few business days. A date change moves no money at all: your booking is simply held against the new date.
A no-show, where you do not arrive and have not been in touch, is not refunded. The guide waits a short grace period, so if you are running late, message on WhatsApp straight away. The full wording is on the cancellation policy page.
Ready to book?
For a full city day, start on the private Barcelona in One Day page, and for a shorter, lower-priced half day, open The Essence of Barcelona. If you would rather leave the city, the private day trips section lists all eight. Use the Book this tour form, the contact page or WhatsApp with your date and group size, and most bookings are confirmed the same day.
